Having never looked into the blogging community I was
somewhat naïve as to how much help and communication you can actually gage from
it.
Being a Module one starter I was floating around through Tutors
and other Module one’s blogs, trying to find answers and common ground however
during the discussion group with all Modules I was reminded how much knowledge
people that have walked in our shoes can provide us with.
Networks and communities was a topic up for discussion and
how many people can be reached within one. This then clicked in with me that
the BAPP is a community or network within itself and through blogging you can not
only look through blogs of those in the same position as you but ones that were
once in your position seeing their outlook too.
I then found myself looking through blogs of different Modules
and even past Graduates. I am slowly but surely finding my way through the
blogging community!
Hi Sam, I am a Module 1 student too. I'm making a point of trying to say Hi, and leave as many comments as possible because I feel I'll be a lot more confident if I can discuss what we are all up to. How are you getting on? Charlie M1
ReplyDeleteHi Charlie! I have been getting up to date with everyones blog posts and trying to wrap my head around the theory!! Having graduated just last year from a practice based dance college the thoery is very new to me. Your blog posts are really informative and have given me some good ideas. Im just starting to gather all my thoughts and write my essay so hopefully will be posting some of my ideas in the next few days.
DeleteHey Sam! I am just starting Module 1 now and I am feeling the exact same way about blogging and this community as you were in this post! Someone who is on Module 3 suggested to me that I comment on as many posts as possible to get into the swing of things - which is what I am doing now!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading your posts as you move through the Modules. Good luck!
Hi Cath! I totally agree with the person on Module 3 who suggested commenting on as many post as possible! Its also great to blog about the ideas you are having along the way as you may find someone comments who is feeling exactly the same. Making these connections is so important to not feel alone on this course.
DeleteLooking forward to reading your blog throughout your journey!
